| Release Notes: | DAISY3 export: by default, audio files are created for every DTBook levels and sections. A new export option is now available so that users can choose how to divide the generated audio stream. DAISY3 / EPUB3 import: by default, project filenames (XUK folder) are created with a label snippet (e.g. title, section heading). This can be problematic in some languages / scripts, due to Unicode characters. There is now an application preference to disable this feature. Additional minor updates in the import dialog ("preserve audio format" choice). Preferences dialog: fixed keyboard navigation and focus highlight/outline issues in list items. Localization: updated French (in addition to default English) to include the strings introduced in this software update. Usage statistics: prior to Tobi version 2.6.3, the anonymous usage feedback was collected (each time the application starts) on an opt-out basis, and users could deactivate the feature in the application preferences. |

| Release Notes: | EPUB 3 (alpha): text-only EPUB publications and audio Media Overlays can now be imported. The HTML 5 markup gets rendered with support for MathML equations, SVG (inline and external images), video, etc. (in the usual Tobi fashion, no web browser / CSS rendering). No export yet. Authoring-time features need testing. Known caveats with regards to missing imports (e.g. embedded fonts), however CSS and JavaScript files are preserved correctly, as well as cover-image, and legacy NCX. CTRL-U displays the list of item in the publication spine (each of them are individual Tobi projects). There is no markup validation yet (DTBook and DTBook-MathML have a DTD, but not HTML5 and the EPUB3 extensions). MathML (beta): mathematics get displayed (via the SVG renderer), and the DAISY3-MathML (DTBook) specification is fully supported (XSLT, NCX NavList, etc.). The Saxon XSLT 2 library and the free StiX fonts are required (see the website's download section). Alternative images ("altimg") get displayed |
