| Release Notes: | `calc.xpdiff` and thus also `calc.differ`, with no specific epsilon value given in the function call, often had severe problems correctly computing the third derivative (and only this one), especially with roots and logarithms. This has been largely fixed at a slight decrease of accuracy with trigonometric functions, but with `calc.xpdiff` only. The accuracy of `calc.differ` with trigonometric functions is the same as before. When given +/- infinity for at least one boundary, `calc.gauleg`, `calg.gtrap`, `calc.intde` and `calc.simaptive` now quit with an error. They also now check, when not already implemented, whether the lower boundary is less than or equal the upper boundary and issue an error otherwise. These measures especially prevent issues with `calc.simaptive` which ran into a long loop succeeded by an out-of-memory error. |
