Starting with Service Pack 2 for dSPACE Release 6.5 the DS1006 boot firmware (Vs. 2.1.6 or higher) is not ... to a version prior 2.0 when using a DS1006 under Release 6.5 without Service Pack or prior Releases.

Installation:

The ZIP files comprise the firmware as well as the stand-alone firmware programming tool firmware_update_ds1006.exe. Download the required ZIP file and extract its contents into a new directory. Open a command line box and enter firmware_update_ds1006.exe to see the program's help page.

Typically this dedicated firmware flashing tool works much faster than the update with ControlDesk.
